Little bit of (Wikipedia) history for ya – National Doughnut Day was created by the Salvation Army to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War One. And you just thought it was another reason to eat deliciously bad for you treats…
In an effort to celebrate some of the sillier holidays (did you know there is an asparagus day?!), and continue with the wear it column, I dressed myself for breakfast and indulged in some fantastic sugared ring shape cakes at World’s Fair Donuts.
