SIPS // Blueberry Peach Julep
We ladies love our bourbon around here, so we’re kicking off happy hour (and taking advantage of peach season) with this refreshing twist on a mint julep.
Blueberry Peach Julep
4-5 mint leaves
2 peach slices
1.5 oz bourbon (Four Roses yellow label or Buffalo Trace are great quality and affordable bottlings)
0.5 oz simple syrup*
Muddle mint, blueberries and peaches in the bottom of a Julep tin. Add bourbon and crushed ice. Stir. Top with crushed ice and garnish with mint, berries and peaches.
*To make simple syrup: Use 1 part water to 1 part sugar. Bring water to a boil. Dissolve sugar in water completely. Remove from heat and let cool before bottling.
