The Fall List
September 24, 2012
Boots and scarves and jackets and layers and hats! Can you tell I’m excited for fall?
As a list-maker extraordinaire, it’s only fitting that I throw together a ‘to-do’ of sorts for the fall season. I was recently told by a friend that my list seemed full of cliché things – and as true as that may be, I wouldn’t change it. Making these lists reminds me to do things I’d normally overlook. So yes, I will go to the pumpkin patch this year.
1. Take a hayride.
2. Go to the pumpkin patch.
3. Rake leaves just to jump in a pile of leaves.
4. Camping.
5. Make s’mores.
6. Make a signature hot drink for the season. (Hot toddy or cider-esque…)
7. Bake a pie.
8. Eat lots of pie.
9. Apple picking.
Got things (even cliché ones) you’d like to do this fall season?

make caramel apple butter is one of my standards.
1) Mull some wine!
2) Cook each of a day’s meals – breakfast, lunch & dinner – in a crockpot! Probably not in the SAME day, though…we only have one…
3) Go to a haunted house!
4) Get a great fall playlist together and go for a long drive!
Season changes are meant to hold cliche activities.
I checked hayride, apple picking, and toasting marshmallows (kind of s’mores) off my list all in this weekend.
I think you need a winery trip on the agenda too.
10. Get a cold!
make a bonfire, rost & eat potatoes and also have some baked apples, preferably with custard and cinnamon.
